Reflecting on 2022
Dec 05, 2022
At this time of year, everyone gets busy with Holiday plans and end-of-year activities. This can add extra stress to an already stressful year. While it is always easier said than done, we should all step back and try and focus on the many good things that happened in 2022.
Here at United Cooperative, 2022 will end up being a very good year for your cooperative. Our sales dollars and actual volumes grew to record levels this year. With the help of the outstanding performance of our ethanol plant investments, our profitability should also hit record levels. These great numbers did not come easily, though. With supply chain issues, labor market shortages, and railroad issues, your cooperative staff faced more challenges in 2022 than can be listed. Despite these challenges, our employees rose to the occasion and cared for our customers at record levels. Next time you see them, join me in thanking them for all they do daily to take care of our customers.
Thank you as well to all our members who support United Cooperative. That support allows us to continue to grow and reach the levels of success we enjoy today. Be sure to take advantage of the many yearend programs that United Cooperative offers for locking in your 2023 needs. We have the people, programs, facilities, and equipment to care for your needs.
As 2022 draws to a close and in 2023, try and enjoy family and friends, try to focus more on the good that is out there and less on the bad. We should all take stock of the many blessings we enjoy in this country and the agriculture industry. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.
